Supporting Our Community through Action

Community services maintains  year round programs which offer a meaningful volunteer experience for adults and youth, while providing needed services to the community. We do this by partnering with several local organizations. Our four primary partners are Emergency Shelter Partnership, Neighbors Link, The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry and The Community Center of Northern Westchester in Katonah.  Additionally we work with the New York Blood Center, the Midnight Run and other initiatives as needs arise.

Community Service is spearheaded by Michele Posner who can be reached at communityservice @bettorah.org

Current Initiatives

Bet Torah Reaches out to Help Texas.

Texas has been declared a natural disaster. Although in our hearts we want to be there for them, send them blankets, the most efficient and effective method is to fundraise for local organizations.

Jewish Family Services of Houston has set up the Winter Storm 2021 Fund. Consider donating at jfshouston.org/donate. So we can donate as a unified congregation, you can enter “Bet Torah, Mt. Kisco, NY” under the acknowledgment section.
