Madrichim-in-Training (MIT)

Sundays, 10:00-11:00 a.m., weekly, starting Sunday, October 3.  $118 for the full year.

Madrichim-in-Training (MIT) is a weekly training program to prepare teens to become Madrichim.

Tuition for MIT is $118; other Madrichim are volunteers.

Following our successful pilot year of MIT, teens are now required to complete MIT before becoming Madrichim. Rising 8th graders (and rising 9th graders who were not in the MIT pilot) should select MIT in their application.

MIT will meet on Sunday mornings to learn with the Madrichim Supervisor, guest speakers, Madrichim alumni, and upper-class Madrichim to develop important classroom skills.

MITs will be assigned to observe Kulanu classes of different ages, Hebrew and Judaics, during the Fall/Winter semester, to enhance and support their learning.

In the Spring, each MIT will be assigned to an experienced 10th grade or higher Madrichim Mentor in a specific teacher and classroom to get hands-on training and peer mentorship in a classroom setting.

MIT Mentors

Experienced Madrichim in 10th grade or higher are eligible to volunteer to be a Madrichim-in-Training Mentor to an 8th or 9th grade MIT participant during Winter/Spring. MIT Mentors will continue to support the teacher and students in the class they are assigned to, and will be assigned an MIT student who will join their class. Mentors will assist their MIT in learning hands-on skills, offer helpful guidance and provide feedback.

Mentors will also be required to attend two MIT Mentor training workshops with the Madrichim Supervisor.
