Tweens and teens in 5th-7th grade are invited to join Loen at the AFYA Foundation in Yonkers to sort and pack medical supplies. Have a global impact without leaving Westchester!

AFYA (meaning “health” in Swahili) is a medical supply organization that takes excess or discarded materials in our resource-abundant country, refurbishes them, and distributes them to the needy at home and abroad.  It is inspiring to stand in a warehouse filled with medical supplies that were destined to be discarded and realize their potential to save lives.

Afya has asked for wheelchairs, walkers, and canes to help indigenous elders who are greatly in need of these items. Kulanu is collecting bandaids.
