Join Bet Torah for a dynamic conversation about this recent decision, the role of Israeli politics, and possible implications for world Jewry, including Conservative Jews in America. Moderated by Rabbi Brusso and Rabbi Sacks, the expert panel will feature leading voices below from across the global Jewish community.

Rabbi Dr. Meesh Hammer-Kossoy teaches Talmud and social justice at Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. She earned a B.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, and a M.A. and Ph.D. from New York University. Dr. Hammer-Kossoy completed her studies at Beit Midrash Har’el and received ordination from Rabbi Herzl Hefter and Rabbi Daniel Sperber.



Rabbi Mikie Goldstein is the president of the Rabbinical Assembly in Israel and spiritual leader of Kehillat Adat Shalom-Emanuel, a Masorti synagogue in Rehovot, Israel. He is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary.



Harriet Schliefer is the national president of American Jewish Committee and past president of Bet Torah. Harriet practiced law with a focus on education law and representing students with special needs. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, two graduate degrees in education from the University of Virginia and her law degree from St. John’s University.
