At the end of every academic year, Bet Torah has been proud to present the Ida and Daniel Lang Scholarship to a deserving young member of the Bet Torah Community who has demonstrated, through scholastic excellence, service to the Jewish community, and good citizenship, those traits of character most likely to lead to mature and dedicated involvement in Jewish life.
Awards from the Christopher B. Gordon Memorial Fund are available for students who are regular participants in our Teen Learning Community (TLC) wishing to participate in USY Summer Experience or other Conservative Movement travel. Financial need is not necessarily relevant and a candidate’s activities need not be confined solely to Bet Torah. However, a candidate’s family must be in good standing and there is a preference for participants in TLC. Click here to learn more about summer travel for teens.
The purpose of the Lang Scholarship is for higher education, while the Christopher B. Gordon Fund is for Jewish summer travel. All recipients will be determined by selection committees as established by Fund direction. If you are eligible, please fill out the application form below. Feel free to attach all pertinent information. All submissions will be treated as confidential.
Gordon applications are due before Shabbat on Friday, May 4. LANG APPLICATION DUE DATE EXTENDED to Sunday, May 6 at noon.
The Lang Award will be awarded at the End of Year Celebration & Zimriyah on Sunday, May 13.
