Welcome to Bet Torah. We are a warm and dynamic congregation that offers lots of opportunities for prayer, learning and community involvement. Our goal is to inspire our members to live a meaningful and rich life seeped in Jewish tradition. We celebrate our Jewish lives together, perform acts of Tikkun Olam – repairing the world – and see to share our love and passion for Judaism with our children. We invite you to get to know us. Welcome home!

Exceptionally welcoming and inclusive, truly caring and hamish, Bet Torah is a kehillah kedoshah – sacred community – committed to its core values of Community, Spirituality, Education, Tikkun Olam and Israel.

Community – A community with members who care deeply for one another in times of celebration and sadness, and clergy who provide unconditional support when counseling members during times of need.

Spirituality – Joyful, inclusive, participatory Shabbat and holiday experiences, with ongoing emphasis on training lay leaders to lead all types of prayer services, including Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat services, holiday services, and daily and shiva minyan.

Education – Dedicated to the value of lifelong Jewish learning for all ages and levels and proud of our nationally-recognized, award-winning religious and Hebrew high schools; our outstanding preschool program and parenting center; and our multitude of active, dynamic adult education offerings for every age and every level of knowledge.

Tikkun Olam – Active in the local, regional and international community through strong connections with a myriad of organizations including the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry, NOW Israel, Mazon, UJA, AJC, AIPAC, et.al.

Israel – Through the Northern Westchester/Israel (NOW Israel) organization as well as other initiatives led by every arm of our synagogue, Bet Torah embraces deep support for Israel in words, prayer and action.

Most notable about our community is the high level of member dedication, devotion and interest.  We pride ourselves on a highly active and involved lay leadership, which partners with the professional staff in creating programming that inspires the soul and builds community.  All leaders of Bet Torah, lay and professional, serve as caretakers of a culture in which every interaction leads us toward a stronger connection to one another, to our community, and to God.

We endeavor to make Bet Torah an engaging home for our youth, embracing them into the religious, social and educational life of the community.

We strive to integrate our efforts whenever possible to create a dependable continuity, upon which we can build an ever more unified sense of purpose.  We seek to bring our members closer to our core values, and to an awareness of being part of something much greater than ourselves.
