Dedicated to Protecting our Future
The Bet Torah Foundation
The Bet Torah Foundation (BTF) is a consolidated tax-free vehicle for members to support Bet Torah.
Created in 2021 by the Bet Torah Board of Directors, the BTF is a separate not-for-profit corporation with an independent board appointed by the Bet Torah Board of Directors.
Every dollar raised by the BTF is earmarked to support Bet Torah’s mission and budget. The Bet Torah Foundation includes both a long-term endowment fund to support current and future operating expenses and a non-endowment fund to power capital needs – both planned and unplanned.
Assets are managed by the Haverford Trust Company, a financial management firm who leverage investments and provide sound strategy and recommendations.
The Bet Torah Foundation will raise money to support the long-term goals of Bet Torah:
- Invest in retention and support of professional leadership and clergy.
- Enhance the member experience.
- Continue to meet and surpass needs in safety, security, and all forms of accessibility.
- Support building maintenance and enhancements.
The Haverford Trust Company
The Bet Torah Foundation has engaged The Haverford Trust Company to manage our assets, assist us with investment policy/spending policy matters, and to spearhead asset allocation conversations with our Investment Committee and our Board of Directors.
Haverford Trust has been serving as a partner and fiduciary to non-profits, businesses, individuals, and their families since the firm’s founding in 1979.
